Custom node name display

Hi!

I have a request. Would it be possible to display rendernodes with a custom name instead of the computers name and username?

Thank you for the request!
Please let me have a question. Render Manager automatically displays the name of the PC. Would you like to have a different name for the PC’s in Render Manager then in Windows? Is this your goal?
Am I right that you also would like to hide the “User” column?

Hi!

Yes, a custom name for the pc would be great! We switch computers around alot, so that would be helpful. It would be great to have an option to hide the user column, but this is not that important to me. The custom name is more important.

Is there btw any update on the new Pulze Render Manager? Any release date?

Hi Kristian,

The custom name is technically doable so we put this request on the list.

The closed beta of the RM 2.0 will be available in weeks so you do not have to wait too much If you are interested in the testing :wink:

Any update on this? 2.0.18 RC doesn’t seem to have this feature included yet

We decided not to include this feature for now. Currently we are focusing on other improvements, maybe we will implement it in the future.
