i will come back to the render manager to find that the primary distributor is the wrong node so the jobs stop getting picked up. is there a way to lock the distributor to one computer so it doesnt accidently get switched

It depends on which version of Render Manager you are using. We have an improved version that you can download from here: https://pulze.io/download?sku=pulze_service&ver=2.2.1 and we are contantly working on other fixes as well that we would like to release soon!
