SM corrupting viewport and freezing Max after screen resolution adjustment

Hi guys,
We might have found a bug, we replicated it on 3 different machines, descirption and video below:

-open Pulze SM with existing setup
-go to Windows screen resolution settings and change scaling to sth different
-go back to 3ds max
-close Pulze SM
-reopen Pulze SM
-observe it corrupting viewport and freezing Max

Hi @inkvisual

Wow that is something! We have managed to reproduce it and will try to fix it asap.

Hey, any updates on the above? Are there any chances of fixing it soon or is that some bigger deal?
It’s pretty annoying bug, forcing you to restart Max way more often than you’d like to when you work in hybrid scenario (switching between office and remote connection resulting in often changes to your screen resoltion).

It seams to be a bigger deal and we have not yet figured out how to fix it. Will circle back to this issue whenever possible and try to come up with a solution.

Thank you for an update Peter. Hope you’ll find a way to resolve this somehow!

@peter.sarhidai sorry to be a pain about this one.
Just wanted to bump it up, as this bug affects our workflow a lot.
If there’s any chance for your team to research further how to fix this issue I would heavily appreciate it!
Thanks!

We have a similar issue with viewport corruption, although the trigger is different. For us, it triggers when we haven’t used Scene Manager for a while (at least more than a week, though I haven’t tried to pin down the exact amount of time required). In this case, when we open SM, go through the reauthorization via web login, and come back to 3ds Max, the SM window remains white and the entire 3ds Max session is graphically corrupted and must be force-quit. Everything then works fine after reopening 3ds Max and then SM.

Any thoughts on this?

I just had it happen again. Max was open but idle for a period of time and SM was not open. I clicked the SM button in the toolbar and the SM window opened pure white and hung Max. After a few minutes, I am able to interact with the Max menu bar at the very top (File, Edit, etc) but no other viewport or UI elements. The Max UI does not repaint, and when I drag another window over Max, I get the trailing artifacts of the non-Max window painted on the Max window.

Max is still active, because I can click on the X to close Max and it responds. If I then reopen Max and open SM right away, everything works fine.
