State of Post Manager

Regarding the future of Post Manager:

It has been a long time since we’ve released a major update to Post Manager, and its not a coincidence.

Over the past years, we’ve realized the limitations of Adobe’s CEP framework that we’ve used to create Post Manager, regarding its speed and functional capabilities. It is clear to us that workflows using 20+ render elements, 10k+ resolutions, or just simply working with EXRs are not as smooth as we’d like it to be. Furthermore Adobe has discontinued it’s support to CEP, in favor of their new framework, UXP.

This has solidified our view, that the current state of Post Manager is not longer feasible to build upon.

The works on Post Manager 2 are already started, and will feature a ground up rework of the software, along with a solid UXP framework, with C++ core functionalities for the fastest/smoothest possible user experience, while making it future proof for the upcoming years.

As much as we’d like to, we currently cannot set a release date for it yet, but keep an eye out, as we’ll let you know as soon as there is something that we can share!

As for the current Post Manager version (1.x), the development have been focused on bug fixes, and major Photoshop release follow-ups.
If you experience any issue, let us know at support@pulze.io.

Hello Mihaly,
is there any progress you could share with us about the development of Post Manager 2 ?

Thank you

Hello Pulze Team,

Thank you for the update regarding Post Manager. I understand that due to Adobe’s shift from the CEP framework to UXP, the decision was made not to continue developing the current version of Post Manager and to focus on creating Post Manager 2.

Could you please share any news or additional information about the progress of Post Manager 2? I’m very interested in knowing how things are progressing and when we might expect the new version.

Thank you in advance for your response and all the work you do!

Best regards,

Post Manager 2 is still in development alongside other projects, but we don’t have a release date at this time. Given the significantly larger user base of our other products, we need to prioritize accordingly.

We’ve made Post Manager 1.3.0 free and will evaluate its usage and incoming requests, adjusting the priority for PM 2.0 accordingly.

Thank you for your patience, and understanding.
